At Prevailing Word of God Community Church, our ministry is one of teaching and preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to save souls through the power of Salvation in Christ Jesus.

Our Pastor

Pastor Anthony Harden is the founder of The Prevailing Word of God Community Church, licensed by the State of California, incorporated with 501(c3) status. He was born and raised in South Central Los Angeles by very strict Christian parents; he is the 5th of 6 siblings. As a result of his parents, Deacon Willis and Mother Bessie Harden, being pillars within the Church of God in Christ (COGIC), dedicated and active Christians within the church, Pastor Harden gave his life to Christ as a teenager.

Pastor Harden attended West Los Angeles City College where he studied Electronic Data Processing/Computer Science, and acquired a position with Los Angeles County for over 33 years. Presently, he is in pursuit of a Bachelor and Master of Theology degree in Biblical Studies with an emphasis in Apologetics.

Our First Lady

First Lady, Evangelist Joyce D. Harden, is married to her “best friend”, Pastor Anthony Harden, working alongside him in the Prevailing Word of God Community Church ministry.

She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at the age of 25, when God called her immediately to evangelize through street witnessing, on skid row, in prisons, juvenile facilities, and convalescent homes. As a result of her passion to evangelize, her Pastor recommended her to be licensed. She is a licensed Evangelist through the Church of God In Christ. God gifted her to minister to youth, young adults and women. She has established Youth and Young Adult Ministries in large and small churches and assisted with Women Ministries in various churches.

Our Mission is to Preach and Teach the Uncompromised Word of God.

Our goal is to preach the Word of God to those who are lost. To mend the broken hearts and heal the souls of those who have been wounded. Our mission is to teach the truth of the Word of God with love and clarity. And lastly, to create a jubulistic atmosphere of true praise and worship to our God.
